How to identify a ghost type
Three real evidence pieces name one type. No two types share a trio. If you only have two, do not guess the payout.

Mark the orb last because Doppelganger can fake it. A trio plus an orb that matches nobody is the mimic, now called Doppelganger.
Identify the ghost type
- Find the favorite room with temperature or an orb.
- Collect three evidence pieces with the tool tells.
- Filter the journal. Three real pieces leave one type.
- If the orb conflicts, drop the fake and read behavior.
- Check speed, salt, lights, LIDAR, and sound before you leave.
